    U Carton is on the edge of Maynooth Town, directly opposite Carton Retail Park, with a large Tesco outlet and a variety of other convenience shops and restaurants. Maynooth main street is lined with a growing selection of eateries and bars that have earned the prestigious Purple Flag recommendation, in recognition of the area’s vibrancy as a night-time location. The iconic four-star hotel, Carton House, (a 5 minute drive from U Maynooth) has two championship golf courses, while there are also GAA, soccer and rugby clubs in the area. There are four primary and three secondary schools in the town, plus of course the University. At second level there is a new education campus under development, which will introduce two new 1,000 pupil schools and Shared Sports Facility to the area in September 2020.
